Born and raised in Pennsylvania Molly was a professional actor at age thirteen at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater in a production called The Snow Queen. Soon after she played Little Red Ridinghood in the Arden Theater s production of Into the Woods for which she was nominated for the Barrymore Award. It was recast in the production when she was able to make her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly played the role in the Broadway revival Fiddler on the Roof (2004). She graduated in 2008 and earned her B.A. from Princeton University. It was during this time that she made her film debut in Disney s College Road Trip as Wendy Greenhut. In this period she made her acting debut as Wendy Greenhut in Disney's College Road Trip. After graduating Molly performed in several Off-Broadway shows, such as End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater and also in television work including Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly has appeared in regional plays like The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as part of Barrington the Stage Company and the North Shore Music Theatre's 2008 production and Westport Country Playhouse 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank, in which she played Anne. Molly's most notable role is that of Paranormal Activity 2 (2010) as Ali her teenage daughter. Molly also appeared in Last Man Standing (an ABC comedy written and starring Tim Allen) and Jack Burditt's The 25th Annual County Spelling Bee in 2008.
